It is the middle of the night. The clock reads 2:55 a.m. The large living room of an old house lies almost entirely in darkness, save for a single lamp casting a muted glow across the walls. More than once, the thought has surfaced: who lived here before, who filled these rooms with their daily lives, and whether some traces of them ever truly disappeared. Then the clock strikes three. With the final chime, a gentle draft moves through the hallway. The curtains sway slowly in the moonlight streaming through the tall windows, casting silver shadows across the floor. Suddenly, a powdery scent appears in the air. It seems to have come from nowhere. Dry and soft, it evokes old fabrics, garments left untouched in a wardrobe for decades. Moments later, an earthy note begins to emerge. The smell of damp soil rises as though someone outside has just turned over the garden beds. A slight shiver creeps up the back of the neck. The last light is switched off and the walk to the bedroom begins. In the dark hallway, a cool current of air brushes against the skin, leaving it momentarily still. At the far end of the corridor, a pale veil seems to drift through the darkness. A blink later, it is gone.
The scent remains. Yet it changes, its powdery and earthy facets becoming increasingly delicate and transparent. Almost weightless, it floats through the darkness, lingering like the final trace of an apparition that may never have been there at all.

Is there a sample available for every fragrance?
Yes – we offer a sample of every fragrance in our range, as long as it’s not sold out. If you’d like to explore a whole brand, our Discovery Sets usually bring together some of its most important fragrances in one set.
Is the fragrance in the sample the same as in the original bottle?
Our fragrance samples are decants of 100% original perfumes. Each fragrance is carefully filled directly from the brand’s original bottle into a convenient spray vial. So you’re testing the exact same fragrance you’ll find in the full-size bottle.
How many ml are in each sample?
Each sample you order from us contains at least 1.5ml of fragrance. The glass vial itself holds 3ml, which is why it won’t be filled all the way to the top. So no worries – your 1.5ml are definitely in there.
Why are my fragrance samples filled to different levels?
Since we fill every sample by hand, the fill level may vary slightly from one vial to another. From time to time, we also include a complimentary fragrance sample with your order. These are meant as a little extra to discover something new and therefore contain slightly less than our regular 1.5 mlsamples.
Are the fragrance name and ingredients listed on the sample?
The fragrance name and brand are listed on every sample. If you’d like to learn more about the ingredients, you can find them on the relevant product page in our online shop or on your invoice.
